Isabella King

Isabella King started her dance journey at the age of six in Shingle Springs, California where she fell in love with the art form of dance. From starting with a couple classes and performing at community events to joining competitive teams, dance has always been a constant in her life. She has versatile training in most styles such as tap, musical theater, pointe, and modern, however is currently most involved with contemporary, jazz, and ballet. Within her training she has performed in multiple competitions and productions in many places of the world. Isabella is currently an instructor at Hawkins School of Performing Arts where she finished the later years of her training. Along with being on stage performing, she loves choreographing and educating young students on what she considers to be an incredible form of performing arts. Isabella has been a part of Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre since 2021, starting as an apprentice and eventually becoming a company member.

Whether partnering with organizations bringing awareness to situations affecting the community, to traveling outside the country to perform, this company has provided many amazing opportunities. One of her favorite memories includes participating in the Fringe Festival in Scotland, where she could do two things she loves; seeing new parts of the world and dancing. Grateful is only a small word to describe how she feels finding a home within this company under wonderful directors. She finds joy in the numerous events and performances she has been a part of and looks forward to continuing being a company member.
