Bryn Skaff

Bryn joined SCDT in 2023, and has been so happy to continue another season with the company! She first discovered SCDT while dancing in Woodland Opera House's 2022 production of In The Heights, Directed and Choreographed by Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya. She has experience in a multitude of different dance styles spanning almost 20 years. Growing up in the Sacramento area, she is thankful to have amazing mentors throughout her journey. Bryn has enjoyed dancing with professional companies, including Chapkis Dance Family, Electrobotz, Greathouse of Dance, Sac Dance Company, and Sacramento Kings Entertainment.

While Bryn has many diverging interests, including medicine, art, and dance, she strives to find pathways that connect them. Due to this, her art is heavily influenced by her other interests. Bryn is inspired not only by the medical conditions she sees through her work but also by the beauty and strength found in the human figure.

Bryn Skaff graduated from UC Davis in 2022 with her B.S. in biopsychology with an emphasis in neuroscience. Bryn then returned to ARC to gain associate degrees in General Sciences and Studio art. She works as a Neurodiagnostic Technologist, Emergency Medical Scribe, Tap Teacher at Hawkins School of Performing Arts, and Choreographer for McLaughlin Theater Company. She also recently has taken up graphic design and marketing for SCDT. Bryn is currently applying to medical schools with hopes of one day helping others using her different passions.
