Brianna Ashley

Brianna’s dance studies began at the age of 9 in Sacramento, CA. Throughout her training, she studied under Krista Miller, Alexa Moffett, Alexis Rowland, Derek Shrader, and her amazing Hawkins Faculty!

Brianna has also worked professionally in the entertainment industry since the age of 12, working with IVIVVA, PacSun, Enchanted Dancewear, Netflix, CBS, and New York Fashion Week, to name a few. In 2017, she was invited to perform at the Sacramento Teen Center’s Charity Gala. She has also danced in two of The Voice’s Maddi Jane’s music videos, as a featured dancer in  “Numb” and background for “Let’s Talk”.  She has also competed in the Miss America Organization, currently holding the title of Miss Sacramento County 2025, all while pursuing her school counseling credentials to fulfill her passion for service and helping our youth navigate life’s adversities.

She joined SCDT in 2019 and immediately fell in love with everything it stands for. Being a company member of Sacramento Contemporary Dance Theatre has been an incredible experience for Brianna, as she feels she is impacting her community through the art of dance. She enjoys knowing there is intention behind every movement, from telling someone’s story to raising awareness of social injustice. She not only feels so inspired by the other dancers, but by artistic Director Jacob Gutiérrez Montoya.
