Lyric Fernandes

Lyric has been dancing since she was 2 years old, in styles ranging from ballet to ballroom and everything in between. Lyric’s first experience with SCDT was in Edinburgh, Scotland where she took part in the production of Marie. She became an official apprentice member last year and has found great joy in spreading such important messages through dance.

When Lyric is not dancing, you can find her singing. She performs with her band The Lyric Michelle Band every weekend and across the United States, and currently has one original song released with her band, She Saw Red. Lyric is always looking for opportunities to pair her passions of dancing and singing together. In 2020 she traveled to New York City having been asked to audition for The Music Man on Broadway, and made it through the dancing,  singing, and final round before Broadway was shut down due to COVID 19. On February 14th of this year she will be releasing her first EP, which will consist of four songs; one of which will have a music video Lyric choreographed herself.

Lyric is grateful for her SCDT family and the experiences they share, and thankful to her family and friends who have shown immense love and support.
